Richard Egarr, who is becoming more predominant as director of early music ensembles and conductor of 'modern' orchestras, leads two of North-America's leading specialised ensembles. In January 2004, he returns for the third consecutive year to the Portland Baroque Orchestra, to direct a programma baptised 'All in the family', featuring music by J.S. Bach and sons. In February, onwards, he goes on Toronto, Canada, to lead a programme with English music with Tafelmusik Toronto. This will be his first appearance with this world famous ensemble.
