Few ensembles have a better and more intimate understanding of Purcell's music than The Locke Consort. Acknowledged for its interpretations of 17th century English music, the consort played a central role in the William & Mary Celebrations and the Purcell festivities in 1995. This month they perform at the Birmingham Early Music Festival, to celebrate the 350th birthday of the English Orpheus. Click here for more info & tickets |
