NEW: General management of John Holloway, baroque violin

We are extremely pleased to announce a new collaboration with John Holloway. A pioneer in the early music scene, John Holloway is regarded as one of the principle baroque violinists around. In the early 70's, Holloway was concertmaster of Andrew Parrott's Taverner Players and of Roger Norrington's London Classical Players. Since then, he has performed as soloist and director with the Academy of Ancient Music, Les Arts Florissants, Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, Dresdner Barockorchester, Concerto Köln and the Freiburger Barockorchester.

Holloway has made over 100 recordings for many labels. His recent recordings, for ECM, include sonatas from Biber and Schmelzer, and a highly acclaimed performance of the Bach solo sonatas and partitas. In chamber music, Holloway champions repertoire from the 17th century, with his colleagues Jaap ter Linden (cello/gamba) and Lars Ulrik Mortensen (harpsichord), Jane Gower (dulcian), and Susan Ryden, soprano.

In the near future, Holloway will record sonatas by Leclair and a disc with sonatas from Corelli, Veracini, Scarlatti and Vivaldi. Upcoming tours include concerts in Europe and the USA.
