Rachel Podger tours Benelux with Brecon Baroque

Baroque violinist Rachel Podger has a very enthusiastic following in Holland and Belgium, so it comes as no surprise that these countries are amongst the first to welcome her new ensemble, Brecon Baroque. This November, Rachel and Brecon Baroque will be performing in Arnhem, Amsterdam, Antwerp and Eindhoven, with a programme featuring J.S. Bach's Violin Concertos. Oboist Alexandra Bellamy will appear as Rachel's sparring partner in the beautiful double Concerto for Violin and Oboe.

Brecon Baroque is an initiative by Rachel Podger, who founded the ensemble two years ago. It is orchestra-in-residence of the Brecon Baroque Festival, where Rachel is artistic director.

Together, they issued their first recording of the Bach Violin Concertos on Channel Records. Next year will see a new recording.
